This is the same steel used in the legendary Golok machette used by Britain's Military forces and made by Ralph Martindale & Co who have been making Machetes for over 125 years. This "Crocodile" Paratrooper machette is manufactured from high carbon quality British steel with a 45-50 Rockwell hardness. The blade is tapered in section to optimise the unique cutting characteristics making it light weight and easy to use for long periods. The blade is roll forged to give an outstandingly well balanced, tough and reliable tool. The handle is made from prime German beech giving a strong, stable and tactile feel and is securely fitted to the blade with 2 solid steel washered rivets.
We appreciate that not everyone needs a sheath or sharpening file so here we list the machette as a seperate item. If you do require either the sheath or sharpening file we have them in stock and available from a seperate listing so just add them to your cart as required. Model: Crocodile Paratrooper model 432W
Blade Length: 260mm (10 inches )
Overall Length: 390mm (15.5 inches )

Note: These are work tools that are used in some of the most hostile environments on earth but they are certainly not exhibition pieces. You should expect an un finished edge that will need sharpening along with a blade that isnt 100% straight due to the roll forging process. You will however be rewarded with a functional and robust tool as issued to military personell.
